Gallagher hires new space consultant



Gallagher announced the appointment of Tim Wright as a consultant to its global aerospace practice. In his new role, Wright will be responsible for providing expert risk management and insurance advice to the company’s international space clients, as well as supporting business development in the sector.

Wright has over 30 years of experience in space insurance, representing clients as a broker and underwriting space risks for all major operators, satellite manufacturers and launch vehicle suppliers. Most recently, he served as Head of Space Underwriting at Nexus Underwriting, which in 2018 acquired Altitude Risk Partners, a firm Wright co-founded in 2014. He began his career as a broker at Willis in the late 1980s before joining Johnson and Higgins. before its takeover by Marsh in 1997. He also held positions at Aon and Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers.
