Global RPA Software and Services Market to Reach $20 Billion in 2030

Global Robotic Process Automation (RPA) The software and services market will reach $20.1 billion in 2030, from $4.8 billion in 2021, according to a report.

Businesses in virtually every industry have accelerated their automation efforts during the pandemic. Since RPA is a relatively quick solution to implement, it allows companies to advance their digital transformation efforts, according to GlobalDataa leading data and analytics company.

“Covid-19 has highlighted the need to coordinate automation within an enterprise. This has accelerated the development of RPA as enterprises move away from standalone automation capabilities and instead offer RPA as part of a broader toolkit of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, enabling end-to-end automation of more complex business processes,” explains Nicklas Nilssonconsultant for thematic research at GlobalData.

RPA capabilities are increasingly integrated into various digital transformation tools and services.

As a result, many RPA acquisitions have taken place over the past two years. There were 159 RPA-related mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals between 2014 and 2021, with 2021 being a peak year.

“Cloud and platform giants such as Microsoft, ServiceNow and Selling power recognized that software budgets were shifting towards automation and RPA and eagerly turned to M&A to add RPA to their automation portfolios,” said Nilsson.

RPA will continue to garner attention in the years to come for its role in helping companies accelerate digital transformation and modernize traditional business processes.

“Integrating smart technologies like AI and making it more accessible using low-code tools and RPA in the cloud will be on the agenda for any business looking to become the platform -one-stop form of automation around which all others are centered,” Nilsson added.
