Navy PEO Considering Small Businesses For Potential 10-Year Software Development Contract
Naval Information Warfare Systems Command plans to launch formal solicitations in the first half of fiscal 2022 for a multi-award contract vehicle to acquire software development services from the small business community, according to a pre-solicitation notice posted on SAM.gov.
NAVWAR said on Wednesday that the next contract will cover efforts to develop, integrate and update software platforms for the program’s executive office for command, control, communications, computers and intelligence.
The contracting program will also involve the use of agile development and data analysis approaches as PEO C4I seeks to standardize a DevSecOps pipeline.
The selected vendors will aim to create software that would support the US Navy’s cloud-based information technology platforms, such as the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services and Shore Tactical Assured Command and Control programs.
The branch expects to allocate positions on the potential 10-year contract in the fourth quarter of FY22 or the first quarter of FY23.
