Our team is looking for a motivated and engaging Privacy Consultant to join our growing team. This individual will report directly to the Owner and Founder of Red Clover Advisors and will interact daily with high profile clients.

What you will do:

  • Provide strategic advice and business advice on data privacy issues.
  • Prepare and update data inventories.
  • Identify and understand customer processing activities, assets, suppliers and data flows.
  • Support, create and conduct privacy maturity assessments and privacy impact assessments. Analyze and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Work with and identify the process for requesting individual rights for clients.
  • Customize and write individual rights policies for customers for different data regulations.
  • Prepare and assist in the development and delivery of data privacy and security.
  • Create content to attract potential customers (white papers, blogs, infographics).
  • Monitor global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, VCDPA, CTDPA, CPA CAN-SPAM, TCPA, Canada, Australia, ePrivacy Directive) and summarize updates.
  • Ability to transform external privacy laws into concrete policies and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of data privacy compliance processes (e.g. enforcement of DPIAs, responding to data subject rights requests, consent management).
  • Stay up to date on the latest privacy innovations, technologies and approaches.
  • Define and monitor success metrics for customer privacy programs.
  • Establish and maintain external relationships with target customers.
  • Play a key role in client management and business development for existing and new clients.
  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact on assignments; lead meetings and calls with customers and target management.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets for client work from new or existing client accounts.


  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously and complete them in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • An autodidact who thrives without regular supervision.
  • Comfortable working remotely, able to work independently with limited guidance and a self-directed attitude to succeed.
  • A passion for data privacy and an ability to conduct in-depth research when needed.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences (technical and non-technical) about complex technologies and legal requirements using simple, direct language.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Enthusiastic about business development activities.
  • An experienced writer who has created reports, policies, white papers and blogs.
  • Familiarity with or demonstrated interest in privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, General Data Protection Regulation, Online Behavioral Advertising Principles, privacy risk models and frameworks , various state privacy laws and industry regulations.
  • Extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, multi-task, adapt to rapidly changing priorities, meet multiple deadlines across priorities, and complete strategic projects.
  • Familiarity with OneTrust (preferred) and/or other privacy management software tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn new online tools.
  • Three to five years of privacy related experience.
  • Working knowledge of major US, Canadian and EU privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, ePrivacy Directive, PIPEDA).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • JD or IAPP certification an asset.
