Project Management Consultant – Temporary Full Time

The Algoma Ontario Health Team is a team of local health professionals, organizations and community members who work to create a network where citizens have access to the right care, the right team and the right care setting when they need it. We want individuals to experience transparent transitions throughout their care journey in an understandable, digital and collaborative system.
Older people in Algoma living with frailty, especially those who have the potential to improve through the intervention, are one of the first groups that we hope to have a positive impact through our projects. To do this, we bring together local and regional health professionals to co-design improved care pathways for older people living with frailty. Through the Healthy Aging program, we aim to contribute to the healthy aging of our seniors and enable them to continue to thrive – learn, grow, make decisions, be mobile, nurture relationships and contribute to society. .
The Project Management Coordinator will contribute to the Healthy Aging mandate by engaging stakeholders, coordinating project resources and ensuring that deadlines are met. The coordinator is a person who has exceptional written and oral communication skills and has the ability to engage and manage multidisciplinary stakeholders. The successful candidate will ideally be focused on professional growth and continuing education, and will have a desire to effect positive change in healthcare settings.
● Responsible for all aspects of delivery of assigned projects using best project management practices.
● Develop, plan and lead communication with project stakeholders; foster positive relationships with stakeholders and allocate resources in a timely manner.
● Identify, mitigate, avoid and / or remove project obstacles or risks by proactively identifying and monitoring project risks / issues to develop mitigation / resolution plans that support project success, increasing if necessary.
● Support the Healthy Aging team to ensure that all deliverables are achieved on time.
● Define activities to support project deliverables and establish milestones that will be continually assessed and prioritized.
● Estimate and efficiently use project resources as needed throughout the life of the project.
• University or college diploma in a related discipline
• PMP certification
• 5 years of experience in project management

• Customer service, interpersonal and telephone skills.
• Computer skills in a Microsoft environment.
• Ability to maintain fruitful working relationships with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.

• Excellent knowledge of various software including: Microsoft Word, MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power
